Under contract and ready to close but our lenders attorney found a error with title, they are calling it a defective title which now needs to be fixed by selling bank before we can close. Any one deal with this? No one can tell us how long it will take best or worse case senario? So we signed extension but they have yet to sign it and say they are working on fixing title?

well they never signed our extension so we made decision to withdraw and wouldn't you know they at same time decided to remove property from the market, we got all our earnest money back but are trying to get the appraisal money back ,b/c we paid for it and they shouldn't/couldn't sell property with a defective title. Anyone have any luck getting money back in situation like this?
